level 3 tech support at my ISP.
It's insane how high this is going all to login to MySpace! *rolls eyes* What won't I do for my daughter? I have spent a good portion of the morning on this.
The tech at my ISP had me do some "pings" from my computer and MS came up as a loss. *hehe* That sounds about right.
We went over every single detail on how the computer connects and turns out it is the DNS server. *like I've always suspected* The computer told me that with Windows diagnostic. It's just that nobody wanted to listen to a stupid person like me, who is not highly paid like most computer geeks are.
So anyway, these big support guys who do the server support only work M-F early am to late evening. Hopefully, when they call back, this will be settled.
The kid refuses to leave MS and join Facebook. I had told her that I could leave MS--just delete my accounts and be done with it. She refuses though and is using her phone, which adds $$ to my bill because of the MB usage. Until I change plans for a smart phone, she's killing me. Cell phones have all sorts of charges.
If I wasn't stuck with this ISP, I'd leave. We are just too far out in the rural area for any other internet options.
Anyway, it's all just crazy.
Level 3?! I just can't wait to talk to the Server guys. This ought to be a hoot.
