some Bon Jovi fans are whacked. I am serious. Some are a train wreck waiting to happen. Just give them something--anything that Jon Bon Jovi does, that those whacked fans find fault with and they will ride his ass for weeks.
The latest thing to do now is join a group on Facebook called "North American Fans that Know the Verses". Or something like that. Fans can ask to join the group and get their revenge on Jon Bon Jovi. It is a anti-Jon club, imo. Got an axe to grind with him, put it there. Of the nearly 13 Million Facebook fans Bon Jovi have on FB, is Jon going to worry about this small lot? Maybe and maybe not.
The fans there think they are proving a point to Jon--that he was WRONG for saying that the fans here in the US only sing choruses at the concerts. Wow. I had checked out that group and was floored by the comments and cheers that Jon, who had strained his MCL in Finland, were happy. Some were saying that it was "karma" that Jon hurt himself. Karma, huh? Well, in my opinion, those fans need to look at their own karma. Being glad he is hurting is sick and pathetic. No one should EVER think that, much less be happy.
Does Jon owe the US fans an apology for what he said? No, however, that is my opinion. Jon has his opinion about the US fans and his forum is way larger than mine. He said what he said and that should be the end of it. Being a US fan, my feelings are not hurt at all. I think that if fans are offended by his statement, then maybe they are guilty of just singing the chorus.
There are times at ANY concert, where I don't sing the songs. Not because I don't know the lyrics, but I just don't want to. Sometimes, I just want to take photos, and that is pretty obvious by looking at the pictures I have here. Sometimes, I am just watching the band play. I like to watch Jon run around or Michael Wilton of Queensryche play guitar or maybe I am crowd watching. It depends on the situation at the time.
Anyway you look at this, there are a ton of opinions and everyone has one. It's how you choose to express your opinion that makes you.
If you feel the need to join the FB group, fine. Have at. Enjoy yourself, in the US, it is a free country. Freedom of speech. YAY! Look at me here! I have my opinion on the group; I've stated it and now let me say this.
A better page to like on Facebook is my page:
Jon Bon Jovi ~ Always
I have talked about my Jon page last time and the numbers are growing. Still could use more. On my page, it's all Jon--I don't pick on him. Just put a lot of really nice photos and links up. I don't tolerate any type of Jon bashing at all. Fans can discuss Jon and not get mad at each other. We are all there for the same purpose--to worship the ground Jon Bon Jovi walks on. *heh* That is a joke for the sensitive. I've said that for YEARS!
Anyway, I'm not going to bother putting any of the links up. Those have been played to death. Just wanted to state where I stand.
I will close with this really cool video:
No Apologies
Hi!! I just want to say that if you have a problem its your problem! I think your sick to wish harm on someone that didn't say anything that serious! I'll admit, better choice of words could have been used. But your blowing this way out of proportion! The man breaks his ass to put on a great show! All the responsibility is on his shoulders. The whole show bears his name! And his only human. He's stressed and tired! And has to carry the responsibility of the whole thing on his shoulders!! You act like everything is done, and he's just up there! NOT TRUE! You need to grow the hell up!!
