Bon Jovi and Nickelback!

How Bon Jovi concerts will now be advertised.  Makes sense because you can guarantee Jon will be there!  Probably David and Tico too.

For you Richie fans

that need to see him live....but not with Bon Jovi.

Took this pic on my computer

during the live stream from San Jose.

Thought it turned out pretty cool, as it has Jon, David, Tico's drum and Phil's guitar.

Bon Jovi US tour is over

for now.  They will come back in July for some stadium dates and that's it for the Because We Can 2013 Tour.

I had a great time at the 2 concerts I went to and the various live streams they did.

The best live stream was from San Jose, CA

The best song from that night...

http://youtu.be/LwasW80E8ps

check out Phil's guitar playing!  Wow....have to say I'm liking him in Bon Jovi more and more.  Phil X brings a certain energy and excitement.  Even Tico stood up at the end of this song!  What a finish!

I have to say I'm glad Jon let Phil X spread out a bit and showcase his guitar playing.  Yeah, yeah...what about Richie?  Well, about Richie....I guess to me it doesn't matter if he comes back to Bon Jovi or if he stays away.  Honestly, I don't go to Bon Jovi to see him....I go to watch Jon.

In a way, I'm all about the brotherhood and tradition, the Bon Jovi of 30 years.  However, Richie showed fans his selfish side.  Whatever his reasons for calling in for personal business is null and void now.  The only interest he showed *kinda* is the Los Angeles concert--screw the other cities where fans had been begging for him to show up.  Los Angeles is where he wanted to play and it didn't happen.  However, have to remember, was that true?  The NY Post reported it via a source close to Richie and here is that link:

http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/with_the_band_xt5eC6MObihu6YmbkVqkdO

My thoughts are this:  Sambora took it personal when his solo tour was busted up, he lost his voice and then, while he was recovering....the new Bon Jovi CD came out and that started.  Kicking aside any chance to get his solo thing going again until the fall of this year.  I think that because the only tweets from him were regarding his contest.  Not a word about Bon Jovi and ready to go back!  Nothing.  That's sad and it's the only thing fans got from him.

Yeah, I heard what Jon said on Ellen, Richie is the guitar player in Bon Jovi.  Here watch it:

http://youtu.be/DZ0zhpSuT2g

I think that May 7th is the key date.  Right now, there has not been an announcement if Phil X will stay with the tour or if Richie is coming back.  The only thing fans know is that The J. Geils Band is opening at the stadium shows.

Let's welcome Bon Jovi back to the US tonight!

They are in St. Paul, MN!

So while searching for a photo of the 3 of them to post here, I found this article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2305180/Bon-Jovi-star-Richie-Sambora-kicked-world-tour-substance-abuse-issues.html

and when you click in that article link, this one is the source:

http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/sambora_pushed_off_tour_Sg3pcrXD658V7ywYNA854M

So, what do you believe?  Are we back to personal business and the money thing?  Is he drinking/substance abuse?    What a roller coaster.  I think Jon and the guys are wishing fans would not be able to read all this.  The speculations, the articles and whatnot make one wonder.  While all publicity is good, not all is really good, if you know what I mean.

One thing is for darn sure, if RS doesn't like rehab and he is drinking again, better get used to Phil X kids.

Oh and that pic of the band....

I got sidetracked.

What's up with Bon Jovi?

Nothing, I guess.  Richie just decided he had some more important things to do this month and is home while Phil X is filling in for him on tour.

Here is Phil on April 5th, 2013 doing the Wanted solo:

http://youtu.be/WyC7mDvYk9c

Before you get all offended, it's JUST a song; Richie is FINE and that is more important.

However, look at this from Jon's POV----point of view.  He is without his key guitarist and it didn't sound like Jon knew that first night back if Richie was showing up or not for Jon to say this:

"I had two choices - pack up and go home or give you everything I got," he told the crowd. "Richie Sambora won't be performing for a while. If there's ever a night I need you, it's tonight, Calgary."

Once again, let me state:  There is nothing wrong!  No fighting, no one is sick, Sambora is not in rehab....just has personal business.

I digress though, I want to see Phil X playing guitar in Bon Jovi on this leg.  I've thought about Kansas City next Saturday.

It is out of the question realistically, but at the same time....KC is 4 hours from me.  I could get there in time, no problem.

Does wanting to see Phil X play guitar mean I don't like Bon Jovi  as they have been for 30 years?  No it does not.  I think Phil X is one of the most exciting guitarists and I like him.  However, I do like JBJ a lot more and he is the #1 reason why I go to Bon Jovi concerts anyway.  *hence the name of the blog*  That is also why I want to see JBJ solo--change it up a bit do more cover songs and a different vibe of music.

Back to the topic though, which since I don't really have one....just winging it...let me state that this has once again drew a line with Bon Jovi fans.  You are either a fan of Richie or a fan of Jon.  Most fans have tunnel vision, they only know  that they don't want to see ANYONE sing or play guitar in Bon Jovi unless it is Richie.  I can see that to a point, but to constantly blame Jon is really stupid and since we don't know if anything was said between the 2, you really can't say--only speculate.  Still, to say that Jon is to blame is ignorant, unless you know the real reason and if you do....you best not be caught by anyone in Bon Jovi or you will be kicked to the curb....just sayin'.

I was reading comments at BonJovi.com and it's unreal--again.  Like their Facebook page when Richie went into rehab and how fans blamed Jon for all things bad going on in the world and going on the road without Richie, even though he was trying to save his life, it was still Jon's fault.  Well for those who are uneducated or need a recap--the name of the band is BON JOVI.  Jon's last name is BONGIOVI.  I know!  I know!  The spelling is not the same....some are so picky, however I do believe Jon can sign his name either way:  John Bongiovi or Jon Bon Jovi.  It also could be why one nickname for Jon is JBJ.

I am trying to be fair here and give both sides the benefit of doubt.  It is hard though because when things like this happen, bands are never the same--look at the recently busted up Queensryche.

So hang on there and soon, Phil X will be back at his house and Richie *should* be back in Bon Jovi at Jon's side and if not, well we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Happy Be-Lated Birthday to Tico Torres

I missed this. *please don't take my Jovi fancard!!* I had good intentions, but I can't live on my computer or phone...work and my life get in the way. *dangit!*

Tico is awesome and I'm sure he had a great day soaking up the sun and being with his family.

And let me see what else?

Oh yeah, I posted about Jon selling his penthouse in SoHo. Seems like he just bought that. Here's the link from the NY Post:

http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/time_to_get_out_bSLpLoku5VExnZzAEZDJ4I

One article I read said that unless a city law is overturned, I do believe Jon is kinda stuck in that condo. What a way to live.

Trust me when I say....

some Bon Jovi fans are whacked. I am serious. Some are a train wreck waiting to happen. Just give them something--anything that Jon Bon Jovi does, that those whacked fans find fault with and they will ride his ass for weeks.

The latest thing to do now is join a group on Facebook called "North American Fans that Know the Verses". Or something like that. Fans can ask to join the group and get their revenge on Jon Bon Jovi. It is a anti-Jon club, imo. Got an axe to grind with him, put it there. Of the nearly 13 Million Facebook fans Bon Jovi have on FB, is Jon going to worry about this small lot? Maybe and maybe not.

The fans there think they are proving a point to Jon--that he was WRONG for saying that the fans here in the US only sing choruses at the concerts. Wow. I had checked out that group and was floored by the comments and cheers that Jon, who had strained his MCL in Finland, were happy. Some were saying that it was "karma" that Jon hurt himself. Karma, huh? Well, in my opinion, those fans need to look at their own karma. Being glad he is hurting is sick and pathetic. No one should EVER think that, much less be happy.

Does Jon owe the US fans an apology for what he said? No, however, that is my opinion. Jon has his opinion about the US fans and his forum is way larger than mine. He said what he said and that should be the end of it. Being a US fan, my feelings are not hurt at all. I think that if fans are offended by his statement, then maybe they are guilty of just singing the chorus.

There are times at ANY concert, where I don't sing the songs. Not because I don't know the lyrics, but I just don't want to. Sometimes, I just want to take photos, and that is pretty obvious by looking at the pictures I have here. Sometimes, I am just watching the band play. I like to watch Jon run around or Michael Wilton of Queensryche play guitar or maybe I am crowd watching. It depends on the situation at the time.

Anyway you look at this, there are a ton of opinions and everyone has one. It's how you choose to express your opinion that makes you.

If you feel the need to join the FB group, fine. Have at. Enjoy yourself, in the US, it is a free country. Freedom of speech. YAY! Look at me here! I have my opinion on the group; I've stated it and now let me say this.

A better page to like on Facebook is my page:

Jon Bon Jovi ~ Always

I have talked about my Jon page last time and the numbers are growing. Still could use more. On my page, it's all Jon--I don't pick on him. Just put a lot of really nice photos and links up. I don't tolerate any type of Jon bashing at all. Fans can discuss Jon and not get mad at each other. We are all there for the same purpose--to worship the ground Jon Bon Jovi walks on. *heh* That is a joke for the sensitive. I've said that for YEARS!

Anyway, I'm not going to bother putting any of the links up. Those have been played to death. Just wanted to state where I stand.

I will close with this really cool video:

No Apologies

I started a page on Facebook

for Richie Sambora.

There are so many negative comments on the Bon Jovi FB page right now.

The fact that the band are touring without Richie is a big deal. Obviously, Richie needs help and I do support his decision to go into rehab at this time.

While most fans do support Richie, there are those few who have to complain about the tour going on without him. It happened and nothing will change that now.

So, if you are on Facebook and want to like my page. Please do. Share thoughts and photos if you have any.

Here is the link:

In Support of Richie Sambora

**My note:  those that think I did not create this page can kiss it!  I saw where that page is giving credit to another person and well....it is NOT true.  While I have NOTHING to do with that Sambora page now, I was the one to create it**

Agree to disagree

that's what will have to happen when the subject of the 2011 nominees for the Hall of Fame come up.

For once, I am excited about it because Bon Jovi have been nominated. AWESOME!

Does Bon Jovi DESERVE this nomination? Ask any Jovi fan and the answer is yes. Everyone else, well there is a different story. From what I have read online and in between the lines from friends, the answer is no. There are other bands that should be in the HoF first.

Some fans of the band Def Leppard, felt this was a race between the 2 bands. Yeah, it's what I *thought* too. There has never been a race except between the fans. There is a big difference between how the 2 bands think.

Bon Jovi constantly promote and pursue. Def Leppard expect things to happen. I'm getting off track and that whole DL vs Jovi thing gets out of control.

Back to the nomination. I think Jovi should be in the Hall of Fame now. I still find it hard to believe that the song Runaway is over 25 years old. I love that song! When I saw the video for that song, I always thought that JBJ would be a big star. He's way bigger than I ever dreamed he would be.

The guys from New Jersey have paid their dues and then some. Bon Jovi have survived and dominated the 80s...success in the 90s and in the stratosphere in 2000s.
The stats for Bon Jovi are incredible.

So, in December, the world will find out. Are Bon Jovi in or not? Does it matter? Not really. They will continue to dominate the concert world. IMO, Bon Jovi are a very tough act to follow.

Like I said, agree? Disagree? Either is fine, but nothing will change my mind.
The New Jersey guys deserve this honor.

Bon Jovi VS _____________

That seems to be the thing to do. Pit Bon Jovi against another band. Usually the band is Def Leppard because *most* DL fans hate that Bon Jovi can sell out stadiums and Def Lepp can not. Or that Jovi's CDs and fans out number Def Leppard, but that is a story for another day.

I found this blog via a FaceBook friend and found it to be an interesting read. I don't agree, but it is interesting none-the-less.

Paul Gargano

Some may recognize the name from the magazine Metal Edge.

I just saw the GGDs in August. Had a good time, but it was clouded by a sad circumstance. However, John, Mike and Robby are 3 of the sweetest guys around and put on a power house concert. I'll go again, but I don't see myself spending the same amount of time and money on them like I do for Bon Jovi.

I'll credit Mr. Gargano for putting a new spin on the same-tired old Bon Jovi VS ____. I will say, I was so happy he didn't put Def Leppard.

So. Very. Happy.

Summer 2010

July 12 ~ Weird Al ~ St. Charles, MO

2 nights of Bon Jovi ~ Soldier Field ~ Chicago, IL

August 18 ~ The Goo Goo Dolls ~ St. Charles, MO

It's been a great summer. I'm looking forward to fall 2010 as well.

"I've seen a million faces....

and I've rocked them all." All Bon Jovi fans know the lyrics to their Nation Anthem, "Wanted, Dead or Alive." Experiencing this song in concert is cool. You can barely hear the band sing. Love Sambora's solo. Thanks to my Michigan friend for posting this on MySpace for me.

Since I'll be at the Nashville concert, some country yahoo will come out. My best guess is Big & Rich. Saw them sing with Bon Jovi last time....
They are no way my favorite. Maybe a better country act will come out? Brad Paisley would be a better choice, imo.

I'll post after the concert in a few weeks.

Bon Jovi tickets on sale today!

Figures. I was on Ticket Master and I can pull up a better ticket for the Nashville concert now than I could during the BSWJBJ presale.

How that happened? Who knows! Problem with selling just one ticket...you have to find someone going by themselves. Harder to do than you think.

So, I'll keep my ticket. Just wow. I'm sure the concerts will be a sell out, no matter the price or the seats available.

On a happier note, I saw Queensryche last week. Came away from that concert with a lovely EdBass guitar pick and a tattoo on my leg.
My tattoo is still red. I'll get a photo when it's a bit more healed. I couldn't think of a better band to have permanently inked on my leg! BTW, tattoos hurt. Not a sobbing type of hurt just very uncomfortable for an hour. An hour of your life that is either well spent or well wasted. Depends on your point of view.

So, concerts are done until Bon Jovi in April. Now I've got to figure out a way to keep this blog going...
there are always photos of Jon Bon Jovi that need posting.
