Jon was at the White House

on Thursday.

Here's a pic that was tweeted by the staff of Jon Carson.

The White House statement:

The White House announced today their new initiative called "SummerJobs+" which is a call for businesses to hire low-income and at-risk youth for summer jobs. The project, launched through the Department of Labor, hopes to create 250,000 jobs by the start of summer, with at least 100,000 of which will be paid jobs and internships, according to a White House statement.

Jon is a member of the President's White House Council for Community Solutions.

Jon's birthday this March 2nd.

We all know Jon is turning 50 this March. *wow, now I know I am getting old. i am only a year behind him*

I was trying to think of something special and this is what I am doing.

Send a birthday card by way of the the postal service or the link on the JBJSF site...and give a donation of $50.00

$50 for Jon's 50th.

If you like the idea and can afford to do so--great.

Otherwise keep Jon in your thoughts on his day.
